We are delighted to announce that the Melbourne Tram Museum will re-open for the Open House Melbourne weekend on 24 & 25 July 2021. Opening hours are from 10am to 4pm, with last admission at 3pm.
We are very excited to welcome visitors back to the museum after the most recent lockdown.
We have adapted our operations and visitor experience to help protect the wellbeing of our community, based on our COVIDSafe Plan.
Note that this advice may change subject to the latest State Government COVIDSafe settings.
Meanwhile our team of tram elves has been toiling away behind the scenes in preparation for the museum’s re-opening, busy with maintenance and cleaning of our 20-tram fleet.
The date of the open day is subject to no further lockdowns being announced. If the worst happens and the State Government declares a lockdown, our open day will be postponed until further notice. In this instance, announcements will be posted on our website and on social media.
If all goes well, we anticipate that we will return to regular open days on the second and fourth Saturday each month.
We hope to see you back at the Hawthorn Tram Depot!
